5 Days of Heritage & Hills: Amritsar–Dalhousie Experience

Arrival:

• Pickup from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport (ATQ)
• Check-in at hotel (Golden Temple / Ranjit Avenue area)

Sightseeing:

• Visit the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) — experience evening Palki Sahib ceremony
• Explore Heritage Street and Jallianwala Bagh
• Dinner at Kesar Da Dhaba or Bharawan Da Dhaba

Overnight: Amritsar

Morning:

• Visit Partition Museum (a moving experience about 1947 history)
• Explore Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum / Panorama (Ram Bagh Gardens)
• Shopping at Hall Bazaar – famous for phulkari, juttis, and papad

Afternoon:

• Lunch at Brother’s Dhaba or Langar at Golden Temple
• Proceed to Wagah Border (Attari Border) to witness the Beating Retreat Ceremony

Evening:

• Return to Amritsar
• Optional: Visit Durgiana Temple or enjoy local street food tour near Town Hall

Overnight: Amritsar

Morning:

• After breakfast, check out and depart for Dalhousie
• Scenic drive through Punjab plains into Himachal hills

Afternoon:

• Arrive & check in at hotel
• Relax at leisure or take a stroll around Gandhi Chowk (Mall Road)

Evening:

• Enjoy panoramic sunset views from Subhash Chowk
• Dinner at hotel or local café (try Café Dalhousie Heights or Kwality Café)

Overnight: Dalhousie

Morning:

• After breakfast, drive to Khajjiar (22 km / 1 hr) – lush green meadows surrounded by deodar trees
• Activities: horse riding, zorbing, paragliding (seasonal)
• Visit Khajji Nag Temple & Khajjiar Lake

Afternoon:

• Return to Dalhousie, visiting Kala Top Wildlife Sanctuary (optional)
• Visit St. John’s Church, Subhash Baoli, and Panchpula waterfalls

Evening:

• Free for shopping or café hopping at Mall Road
• Dinner & overnight at hotel
